Grower with expertise in Strawberries requiredStrongly backed Vertical Farming start-up with a long term plan...KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:3-5 years' relevant experience in Growing and Horticulture.Expertise in Strawberry growing.Your experience could be in commercial growing or academia / research - we are open minded!Knowledge in safe application of chemicals such as fertilisers, herbicides, etc.Exposure to Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) a bonus but not essential.Forward thinking and open to embracing new innovations.OVERVIEW:A Vertical Farming business with a difference. This start-up is backed by a much longer organisation, has a domain expert at the helm, and a clear vision when it comes to aspects such as renewable energy accessibility and commercialisation.Currently focused on developing a proof of concept Vertical Farming growing space, they have plans in place to move into a much larger commercial facility next year.They are now looking to expand their growing capabilities with the hire of a Grower with expertise in strawberries. The role comes with a possible career track to senior / lead / head grower when they move into a larger facility.The role could be an ideal fit for somebody who feels like they still have plenty of scope for learning and progression... while at the same time already possessing a strong bank (3-5+ years) of relevant growing experience.CEA / Vertical Farming experience would be treated as a bonus but is not essential, and would be secondary to personal traits such as a desire to progress, and an innovative mindset!
