Thermal Process SpecialistCampden BRI offers professional support to ensure your thermal processes consistently produce safe products. For over 100 years we’ve been at the forefront of food and drink thermal and non-thermal processing. Our team holds extensive experience in supporting processors within the UK and around the world regularly working with some of the world’s largest food and drinks companies so when you come to us, you know you are in safe hands. You will specialise in thermal processing and lead the business development and project delivery of related technical work such as including validation, consultancy and training. You will:Planning and managing project work activities within the field of thermal processing (food and beverage). This could be delivery of process validation trials or consultancy, at client’s site, in office or utilising the Campden BRI pilot plant. Regular travel to client sites in the UK and abroad is expected.Overall accountability for thermal measurement equipment, strategic investment, maintenance and overall management of use.Design, coordinate and deliver thermal processing training courses and presentations on scheduled and tailored training courses at Campden BRI and at client sites.Responsible for business development of thermal processing contract work, liaising with sales/marketing, client visits, and preparing/reviewing quotes and proposals.To support the team in thermal processing related research activity and contribute to internal and external seminars and events where possible.Responding to direct technical enquiries and requests for processing advice. Experience required:Degree or equivalent in engineering, food technology or other sciences.An awareness of the importance of heat processing in the food industry.Proven experience, ideally in a food production related setting.Experience working with thermal food processes (e.g., retort, UHT aseptic filling) would be advantageous.Proven business development skills, with the potential and desire to develop these further.Excellent verbal and written communication skills (client meetings, emails, reports).Time management and financial awareness to facilitate effective project management.Full UK/EU driving licence and eligibility to live/work in the UK.
