But now, let's talk about you, and the job...A bit about the roleMeticulous,diligent, and confident; we are looking for an experienced Facilities Managerto join our dynamic UK Property Team.This role reports to the UK Head of Maintenance, Jason O'Neill, and youwill be responsible for managing all the maintenance activity in a definedgroup of shops across the Pret estate, to ensure our shops remaincompliant and well loved. You will proactively seek opportunities to drive efficiencies and buildstrong relationships with our Shops, Ops, and other key stakeholders. Youwill assist in managing and controlling maintenance expenditure in accordancewith agreed procedures and budgets.Youwill be responsible for leading several in-house Technician team leaders whilstmaintaining overall responsibility for a group of in-house technicians, to ensurewe deliver on our SLA's.Youwill plan, prioritise and implement planned and reactive maintenance work toagreed standards and procedures.Youwill contribute to the development of processes and procedures for the deliveryof FMservices to allow for continuous improvement.This role is a permanent role based within our London Victoria SupportCentre, 75B.The magic you'll bringExcellent communication and people skills, with the ability to buildrelationships, influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of theorganisation.Highly effective people management skills, able to engage andsuccessfully lead a high-performing team.Experienceworking within maintenance in the retail sector, ideally with recent experiencewithin the food and beverage sector.A member of the IWFM with a degree or equivalent in FacilitiesManagement.Excellent technical knowledge covering electrical and buildingservices, as well as a thorough understanding of statutory compliance requiredfor commercial retail buildings.Extensiveexperience of dealing with programmes of planned and reactive maintenance.Excellentverbal and written communication skills and the confidence to handle bothcomplex and sensitive situations.Experience in knowing when andhow to escalate highly sensitive reactive maintenance issues.Fast to respond and concise with theability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Proven track record of managing externalmulti trade contractors.The day to dayContribute to the development of apro-active maintenance service, ensuring works are completed to agreedtimescales, regularly updating the Head of Maintenance on SLA performance. You will work with the Pret FMTeam to ensure call completions and deployment of the technician team isoptimised.Regularly inspect work carried out by ourcontractors and internal Tech team to ensure quality and value for money ofwork completed.Identify training needs of self and teamand participate in agreed personal development plans.Obtaincompetitive quotations for repair and alteration work in accordance with agreedcriteria.Implementagreed procedures for recovery and redistribution of Shop Equipment.Ensureequipment asset information is up-to-date and accurate.Oversee ad hoc minor alteration andimprovement works to shop premises, including complete shop strip outs asrequested by the Head of Maintenance. Developthe team leaders and techs by focusing on individual performance and supportrequirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of workingsafely.Contributeto a pro-active maintenance service; inform and update Ops if SLAs are notgoing to be met.
