We are located on the Lincolnshire Wolds near the town of Alford, between Louth and Skegness. The estate comprises 1,200ha of arable land, along with a contract farming arrangement of another 200ha. The farm operates within a five-mile radius from the Wellbeck Grain Store site. The farm utilizes a wide range of modern machinery, growing feed wheat, malting barley, oilseed rape, beans, and vining peas, alongside an extensive Countryside Stewardship and SFI scheme. Facilities include a central storage of 7,500t, with an additional 2,500t store in Willoughby village. The estate also features 200ha of commercial woodland, a small family shoot, and a residential property portfolio. Currently, the team consists of two full-time staff members. We are seeking an additional full-time team member who is friendly, driven, self-motivated, and attentive to detail, aiming to build a long-term career within the estate. The role involves: Operating the Main Quadtrac 620 for drilling and cultivation tasks. Using modern machinery such as a Farmet Fantom, Farmet Softer, Sumo LDS, Cultipress, and Lemken Semi-mounted plough for cultivating. Drilling with a Vaderstad Rapid and Horsch Sprinter. Spreading fertilizer with a Case Optum and Amazone spreader. Additional duties include relief spraying, telehandler operation, and general farm/estate work as needed. Previous experience with drilling and good workshop skills are essential. Certifications like PA1, PA2, PA4, and a telehandler ticket are advantageous but can be provided for the right candidate.
