You'll play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of workmanship across all maintenance areas, strictly adhering to health and safety guidelines.Responsibilities IncludePerform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, electrical work, system maintenance, and carpentry to ensure all facilities are in optimal working condition Implement a preventive maintenance schedule to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems Maintain outdoor areas to a high level of cleanliness, including gardening, public areas, car park area and keeping the property appearance standards up Diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to resolve maintenance problems promptly Respond promptly and efficiently to staff & guest requests for maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, facilities,public areas, and attraction facilities Maintain an organised inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for maintenance work and keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inspections Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and industry standards, promoting a safe and secure environment for guests and employees Follow and adhere to safety protocols and be an advocate in and for regular safety training Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping, F&B and management, to coordinate maintenance activities that do not disrupt guest experiencesRequired Skills & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training in maintenance-related fields or industry experience to match this Proven experience in general maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA regulations is a plusThe Benefits28 Days holiday Extra days holiday for your birthday Free meals on shift Free Gym access on-site Employee Assistance Programme Exclusive Employee discounts on accommodation, attractions & dining across the THC Group.Working ScheduleFull Time, Part Time Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysLuxury | History | CornwallWhen constructed in 1779, Bodmin Jail was an innovative milestone in prison design with its individual cells and sanitation.
