Job Description

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Housing Administrator to join North West Leicestershire Council's Housing Asset Management Team on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 376.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The Role: To provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Housing Asset Management team, ensuring the efficient delivery of asset-related services such as repairs, maintenance, compliance, and capital works. The role supports the smooth operation of systems, data management, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. Duties: * Maintain and update asset management databases and records accurately. * Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and meeting documentation. * Support the scheduling and coordination of inspections, surveys, and contractor visits. * Process invoices, purchase orders, and financial documentation in line with procurement procedures. * Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and contract administration. * Act as a first point of contact for internal and external enquiries, providing timely and professional responses. * Liaise with tenants, contractors, and colleagues to resolve queries and ensure service delivery. * Log and track complaints, service requests, and follow-ups using appropriate systems. * Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of asset registers, compliance records, and performance indicators. * Support the monitoring of statutory compliance (e.g., gas safety, electrical testing, asbestos, fire safety). * Assist in compiling data for audits, reports, and regulatory submissions. * Provide administrative support to project teams working on planned maintenance and capital investment programmes. * Attend and minute meetings as required. Essential Experience/Skills: * Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role. * Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). * Excellent organisational and time management skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling Please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible if this role would be of interest to you
