Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electronics Technician to provide hands-on support to our Electronic Design Engineers in testing and fault-finding cutting-edge technology on a daily basis. Salary:Circa £33,000 depending on experience Dynamic (hybrid) working:The majority of this role will require an on-site presence. However, where opportunities arise, dynamic working will be supported. Security Clearance:British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team. What we can offer you: Company bonus:Up to £2,500 (based on company performance, varies year to year) Pension:Up to 14% total contribution (employer and employee) Overtime:Opportunity for paid overtime Flexi Leave:Up to 15 additional days Flexible working:We welcome applicants seeking flexible arrangements Enhanced parental leave:Up to 26 weeks for maternity, adoption, and shared parental leave; enhancements available for paternity, neonatal leave, and fertility treatments Facilities:Subsidised meals, gym, café, and more on site The opportunity: An exciting role for an Analogue and Digital Electronics Technician to join our skilled team developing and manufacturing electronics sub-systems for MBDA's products, including Missile Computers, Actuation Systems, Data Links, Telemetry Systems, Seekers, and supporting R&D activities. This role offers the chance to develop electronics engineering skills supporting design and manufacturing of leading-edge products. Tasks include support to production testing, test development, prototyping, fault finding, qualification testing, trials, acceptance testing, and data analysis. There is scope for career growth within the Production Design Support function. What we are looking for from you: Ideally HNC qualified or above in a relevant electronics/electrical discipline, with a strong understanding of electronics and basic maths. Experience in a design environment and development process. Experience in production support is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with test and fault-finding on technologies including oscilloscopes, waveform generators, dataloggers, spectrum analysers, covering analogue, digital, RF, optical, and safety systems. Understanding of development processes and logistics of kitting parts and prototyping. Good report writing skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
