Job Opportunity: Team Leader Childrens Residential Home Location: Meldreth, Nr. Royston (Cambridgeshire / Hertfordshire Border) Contract: Permanent | Part-time 32 hours per week (Shifts) Salary: 15.25 - 16.64 per hour (25,376.00 - 27,688.96 per annum) Essential Qualification: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join a caring and committed residential team supporting children and young people aged 619 with complex needs, including profound communication difficulties, cerebral palsy, autism, and degenerative conditions. This role is based at a well-established childrens home in Meldreth, offering a supportive and enriching environment where young people can thrive. Key Responsibilities Promote and maintain a stable, safe, and nurturing home environment Lead, coach, and support a team of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers Oversee the physical and emotional support provided to young residents, including attending health appointments, family visits, and community activities Support the induction, mentoring, and training of new team members Conduct supervisions , performance reviews, and manage team development Ensure effective planning and delegation of daily activities and individual support plans Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation Participate in on-call duties , sleep-ins , and waking night shifts as required Be prepared to engage in physical intervention and provide personal care when necessary What Were Looking For Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Proven experience in shift/team leading within a care environment Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills A genuine passion for improving the lives of young people with complex needs Flexibility and willingness to support where needed Whats in It for You Full training and continuous professional development DBS check paid by the employer 33 days'' holiday including bank holidays Life assurance and enhanced pension scheme Health cashback plan Access to car lease and bike-to-work schemes Perkbox employee discounts Free parking on site If you''re ready to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people and lead a team that shares your commitment to care, wed love to hear from you.
