We''re looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our team in Salford. The role has full budgetary responsibility for the department, implementation and management of continuous improvement principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes. Key Responsibilities Include Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing; planning vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance. Maintain production systems/processes to deliver product on time, to quality requirements and to cost. Drive continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, process improvement, machine availability through lean techniques and value engineering to enhance the capability of existing processes and remove waste. Motivate and coach the team to operational success. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance. Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the manufacturing strategy. Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on manufacturing activities. This includes NPDI and PLM for manufacturing readiness. Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures. What You Need to Succeed Formal qualifications in Electronics/Mechanical/Production Management disciplines. Demonstrated experience in building and cultivating effective partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders from idea to delivery and future longevity. Understanding of project management disciplines and process improvement methodologies. Excellent communication, facilitation, delegation, influencing and negotiation skills. Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Strong leadership skills.
