About The RoleAs one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you’ll be bringing the unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service right to our customers’ doors. You will actively embody our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers. When you're not out on the road, you'll support the team with daily tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the efficient and friendly operation of the shop. Due to the nature of the role, you must be 18 years or older. Key ResponsibilitiesStart your day in store, checking your delivery routes. Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery. Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance and health and safety standards. Represent the Waitrose brand on the road with excellent customer service as your priority. Assist customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service. Support the shop team with general shopkeeping tasks as required. Essential Skills/ExperienceFull valid B-Category UK manual driving license with no more than 6 points. Excellent customer service skills. Strong time management skills. Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting crates and moving cages. Ability to work independently, self-motivated and adaptable. IT literate. Desirable Skills/ExperiencePrevious driving experience and knowledge of chilled vehicles are advantageous.
