We are seeking motivated, caring, and compassionate individuals for the role of Apprentice Healthcare Support Workers. The apprenticeship program offers a full-time, 18-month fixed-term contract, which in most cases leads to a permanent position with Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. Applicants must be aged 18 or over on the start date and have lived in the UK for the past 3 years. Applicants should have a genuine interest in caring for people and be able to demonstrate this in their application. You must NOT hold a degree or level four qualification or above in a health-related subject. You should not have significant healthcare experience. Requirements include undertaking: Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship Care Certificate BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Care Candidates must also hold English and Maths GCSEs at grades 9-1 / A*-G or equivalent and be able to present valid certificates at interview. Without formal proof, you will not be eligible to start the apprenticeship. Participants will benefit from comprehensive training and workplace support from Vocational Trainers to enhance their knowledge. We are recruiting for two cohorts starting in September and November 2025. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a selection event on Saturday, 7th June 2025, and should be prepared to attend the full day. You will be required to work in clinical areas as part of the team to deliver patient care. Eligibility for government-funded apprenticeships requires applicants to be aged 18 or over and have been residents in the UK/EU for the last three years.
