If you have experience in competency, assurance, accident and incident investigations, policy development, Plant operations, design and strategic planning, you're exactly who we need!On an average day, you'll act as the go-to expert in your specialist area, offering technical advice and best practice guidance. Your work will involve supporting incident investigations, analysing technical issues, and assessing the capability and performance of designs and options. You'll help deliver activities in line with Network Rail policies, legislation, and international standards, while contributing to the development and implementation of operational processes. From supporting strategy and product development to identifying defects and managing corrective actions, your role will be varied and impactful. You'll also conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation plans, and evaluate technical data to ensure asset reliability. Information management, engineering verification, and record-keeping are part of your routine, and you may also lead or support the technical lead as a Delivery Manager for specific projects, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality targets.Who are we looking for?Are you an experienced engineer ready for your next challenge? We're seeking a motivated professional with a relevant HNC/HND (or equivalent experience) and strong engineering background to bring their expertise to our team in Milton Keynes. Ideally, the successful candidate will have knowledge of both Mobile and Fixed Plant assets. You should understand industry standards, safety systems, risk assessments along with knowledge of Plant competency and compliance. A degree, IEng status, project management skills, software systems such as Power BI or railway experience are a bonus.
