South to the Angel of the North and nestled in a lovely village, the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) at Kibblesworth supports adults with acquired brain injuries or neurological conditions, who may also have a secondary diagnosis of mental health needs or learning disabilities, through their rehabilitation journey. Rated ‘Good’ by the CQC, our purpose-build 16-bed neurological rehabilitation residential service offers easy access to a broad range of amenities, educational and occupational opportunities, as well as social and leisure pursuits, and has recently been decorated throughout to enhance the environment for residents. Through strong clinical leadership, the Clinical Lead Nurse will promote excellence in nursing care, maintaining and improving clinical standards. The post holder will ensure that all patients are treated with compassion, dignity, and respect, valuing the diversity of the local community and beyond. They will be highly visible and accessible onsite. The Clinical Lead Nurse’s key responsibility is to ensure that clinical care is clinically effective, safe, and delivered to the highest standard. ***This is a Nurse qualified role *** What you'll be working: 37.5 hours a week Monday - Friday What you'll be doing: Manage the delivery of all nursing aspects of the agreed outputs for their area of responsibility. Ensure patients are cared for in a clean and safe environment, taking remedial action if standards are not maintained. Establish and maintain effective communication with patients, relatives, and staff to resolve potentially complex situations, conflicts, and issues. Support the implementation of patient safety strategies. Share best practices and drive improvements in patient care. In conjunction with the Registered Manager, monitor and maintain excellent clinical standards within the clinical team. Championing the infection prevention and control agenda, challenging poor practice. Be able to recognise the need for referral to statutory bodies ( eg safeguarding , DoLs, MHA, MCA etc) and ensuring all communication and documentation is completed and managed in line with statutory, legal and Group policy requirements. Provide professional and clinical leadership. Develop the specialist contribution nursing can make within the service. Develop nursing care leadership and management. Ensure nursing staff comply with ACG policies and procedures. Represent ACG at local and national forums, promoting achievements in patient care Collaborate with the Registered Manager in developing the service and business strategy. Participate in service improvement projects or development programs that contribute to the modernization of patient services, providing both professional and clinical advice as necessary. Work closely with appropriate Clinical and Service Managers to ensure all local, corporate, and national initiatives and targets are met. Represent ACG within the NHS community and partner organisations and work closely with them to institute integrated working in the best interest of patient care. Manage nursing resources on a day-to-day basis, with particular attention to Bank and Agency expenditure. What you'll have: A Legal Right to work in the U.K. RN1: Registered Adult Nurse, Level 1, part of the NMC register A postgraduate qualification in Nursing is desirable but not essential Proficiency in neuro-rehabilitation care Ability to demonstrate clinical and professional knowledge Can manage own workload with excellent time management skills Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage resources Understanding of the principles of Clinical Governance Held an AFC band 6 post or equivalent for at least 18 months in an acute clinical environment. Significant clinical experience in neurorehabilitation at a AFC band 6 level or above.
