This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major infrastructure scheme with long-term prospects.You’ll be part of a well-established drainage team focused on track, landscaping, highways, and road drainage. The environment is fast-paced and hands-on, ideal for experienced engineers who can hit the ground running and provide immediate value to the team.The RoleAs a Section Engineer – Drainage, you’ll be responsible for managing and delivering specific sections of drainage works on site. You will oversee setting out, team coordination, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and programme objectives.You will work closely with Site Engineers and other team members to ensure successful delivery of drainage and associated civils works.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise drainage works (track, road, landscaping, highways)Set out works using GPS and total station equipmentDevelop and manage Activity Control PlansSupervise and support Site Engineers and Graduate/Apprentice EngineersConduct quality inspections, manage NCRs, and resolve technical queriesMonitor health, safety, and environmental complianceCoordinate subcontractors and ensure programme targets are metPrepare weekly work plans and monitor progress against KPIsEssential Skills and ExperienceProven experience in drainage installation on civil engineering projectsConfident using surveying tools (GPS, total stationBackground in roadworks, earthworks, drainage, or related disciplinesAbility to lead and manage engineering teamsFull UK driver’s licenceValid CSCS cardSMSTS certificationDesirableHNC/HND/BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or related fieldExperience using AutoCAD or similar survey softwareWhy Apply?Be part of a nationally significant infrastructure projectJoin a technically strong and collaborative delivery teamImmediate requirement due to workload increase and team changesStrong potential for contract extension beyond 12 months
