Job Description

Role – Electrical Supervisor (Day shift only or days and nights)Project Type – New build energy projectLocation - CheshireStart Date - ASAPDuration - 6 Months (possible extension)Rates - £425 - £450 per day for day shift. £475 - £500 for night shift if happy to rotateHours: Monday to Friday. Must be flexible to work weekends when required.Key skills and responsibilities:Collaborate with project teams to design electrical systems tailored to project requirements, including power distribution, lighting, communication, and controls.Demonstrable industrial E&IC knowledge, preferably in power generation.Able to work with others on site on a day to day basis if and when required.Sound Knowledge of Work at Height and Temporary Works.Able to plan and coordinate access arrangements for subcontractors.Able to proactively identify potential blocking points for activities.Develop detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for electrical systems to facilitate clear communication and accurate execution.Prioritize safety by adhering to electrical codes, national grid requirements, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring personnel well-being and legal compliance.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, architects, contractors, and stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into project design seamlessly.Integrate energy-efficient and sustainable practices into electrical system design, minimizing environmental impact.Maintain accurate electrical system activity records for the night shifts, generated technical reports, and documented changes for transparency.Provide technical expertise during construction meetings and discussions, addressing electrical related queries and making informed recommendations.Ability to adjust and thrive in the dynamic environment of a construction site.Strong critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues related to electrical systems during construction.What the client is looking for:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, I2C or a related field; Master’s degree is advantageous.5+ years of experience in electrical system design, installation, and operation, preferably within the construction industry or similar field. Ideally working on large – scale electrical installations on big infrastructure projects.Proficiency in electrical engineering software, CAD tools, and simulation applications relevant to electrical system design.Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards applicable to construction sites.
