We're currently seeking an experienced and motivated Crane Planning Engineer to join our client’s operations team in Great Yarmouth.This is a vital role preparing and coordinating maintenance activities for offshore crane systems, ensuring all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.Role Overview:As a Crane Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for planning preventive, corrective, and exceptional maintenance activities for crane systems, including minor modifications.Your work will support the safe and effective execution of tasks on offshore assets, aligned with HSE and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Prepare detailed work packs in SAP, including hard copies when needed.Develop maintenance strategies that align with AMS standards and asset requirements.Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisors to identify innovative and cost-effective solutions.Conduct offshore site surveys (2–4 days/month) to validate work scopes and resolve queries.Liaise with vendors, contractors, and engineering teams to ensure accurate and effective planning.Maintain data integrity within maintenance systems (e.g., SAP).Support simultaneous operations by resolving conflicts in job execution plans.Contribute to continuous improvement by challenging existing standards and procedures.Ensure all planned work meets offshore HSE and quality expectations.Escalate and manage proposed engineering changes via the MOC (Management of Change) process.Promote a strong safety culture in all work preparations and team engagements.What We’re Looking For:Qualifications & Experience:HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)Offshore certifications: BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS and valid UKOOA MedicalProficient in SAP and computer-literate across maintenance platformsStrong working knowledge of diesel engines, crane systems, hydraulics, and controlsDemonstrated cost-awareness and a proactive approach to continuous improvementExperience in an offshore maintenance or engineering environmentWorking Conditions:This role is based in Great Yarmouth.
