With a strong focus on delivering a high-quality service to a wide portfolio of clients, theyre now looking to bring in a Technical Manager to help maintain their technical standards and drive forward best practice.This could be the perfect next step for someone whos been working as a Deputy Technical Manager or Compliance Auditor and is ready to take on more responsibility in a company where your input will be valued and supported.The role:The Technical Manager will play a key part in maintaining UKAS accreditations to ISO17025 and ISO17020. Youll be involved in a wide range of technical and compliance-led tasks across surveying, analytical and laboratory activities and youll also contribute to staff development by supporting ongoing training and competency.Key responsibilities include:Overseeing compliance with asbestos technical procedures through audit reviews and trainingManaging the audit schedule and employee authorisation recordsReviewing QA processes across inspection and testing activitiesSupporting internal training initiatives, including toolbox talks and refreshersSupporting new staff through induction and probationManaging internal QC and external proficiency testing schemes (RICE and AIMS)Assisting with UKAS assessments and closing out findingsCarrying out site-based technical auditsOverseeing equipment calibration, servicing and consumablesProviding hands-on support and guidance to the wider technical teamTo be considered, you will need:Strong asbestos background is essentialMinimum of P401, P402, P403, P404 or Certificate of Competence in AsbestosSound understanding of UKAS accreditations ISO17025 and ISO17020Experience conducting technical auditsConfident communicator with excellent organisational skillsComfortable working independently and managing time across varied responsibilitiesA full UK driving license - this role will require national travel at times, therefore willingness to travel is essentialWhy apply?Youll be joining one of the UKs leading asbestos consultancies, with a fantastic reputation for quality, professionalism and staff development.
