We combine traditional techniques with contemporary design, creating timeless pieces that embody both style and sustainability. We are looking for a passionate and creative individual to join our team as a Knitwear Intern. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fashion industry and work closely with experienced designers.Location: Hammersmith, London Placement: 6 or 12-month placement, with an anticipated start date of August/September 2025 Responsibilities:As a Knitwear Intern, you will be:Making up style boards and development presentationsArchiving physical swatches and prototypes into their relevant folders and boxesSupporting the developer to update all trackers for yarn, approved swatches and prototypesKeeping the knitwear area organized and tidy with clear labelling, and clearing at end of each daySupporting the Design team on researchOrganizing development rails on a weekly basisSupporting on the set-up of the room for fittings and development meetings with all relevant componentsSupporting on data input on PLM and ZedonkTracking press samplesSupporting in measuring prototypes throughout development and for pre-production handoverResponsible for taking notes during fittings and pre-production handoverRecalling and prepping vintage pieces from archivePhotograph & dismantle all past season boardsKeeping equipment and stationery stockedDrawing and updating CADSArranging shipments and keeping the tracker up to dateOrganizing seasonal lab dips with millsCreating and updating FTS fabric headers throughout seasonSupporting with the update of the collection planTracking yarn orders, purchase orders and shipmentsSkills:Knitwear/Textile Course and Knowledge of knitwear construction and yarnsHand and machine knit knowledge and crochet preferredProficient sewing skillsProficient Pattern Cutting SkillsProficient Photoshop SkillsExperience with mock-upsConfident with CADSConfident with ExcelExcellent organizational skills with good attention to detailMust have a can-do attitudeTeam payerRequirements:Must be in full time educationStrong interest and passion for knitwear and fashion design.Basic knowledge of knitting techniques, both hand and machine knitting.Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs.Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for colour, texture, and pattern.Strong organisational and time management skills.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Creative, proactive, and eager to learn.What We Offer:A hands-on learning experience in a creative and supportive environment.Mentorship from experienced designers in the knitwear industry.Exposure to the complete design process, from concept to production.Opportunities to contribute your ideas and creativity to real projects.A chance to build your portfolio with professional-grade work.
