We want talented fee earners to join our team to help us deliver industry leading service to our clients.The RoleYou will play a vital role within an established department, using high quality case management processes. We are looking for people who are committed to effective and proactive conduct of cases. Target driven and ensuring we deliver the highest standards of client care, we require fee earners to enforce settlement agreements and ensure agreed repair works are carried out following the settlement of the clients disrepair claim. This is a critical stage for our clients, and we are keen to ensure we deliver. It is an excellent opportunity to enter housing litigation for those from a wider litigation background such as personal injury or credit hire. Advocacy experience would be a major asset, as would any team management.Main Responsibilities (not exhaustive)To represent the firm in a professional and proactive mannerTo utilise robust processes to proactively progress cases, conduct frequent client care reviews and efficient management of casesExercise high standard of client care in a professional and pleasant mannerTo liaise with clients and ensure agreed work is carried outTo arrange post inspection of the propertyTo take witness statements where necessaryTo draft part 8 proceedings and / or applications for breach of agreementLiasing with Counsel and preparing instructions to counselUndertake telephone hearings for those experiencedPotential team managementTo comply with the Solicitors Code of ConductTo share best practice and latest developments in the law with colleagues and peersTo be responsible for the co ordination of tasks To be responsible for progression of own caseload To take responsibility for self development including keeping up to date with all aspects of relevant laws and proceduresTo assist in highlighting system developments and efficienciesTo undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required Personal SkillsExcellent inter-personal skills and customer service skillsExcellent telephone manner Confident and dynamicHighly organised and self-motivated; able to work independently and as part of a teamHighly IT literateExperienceKnowledge of Civil Procedure RulesKnowledge of Breach of Contract process4 years volume litigation experience (Grade C and above)Case Management Systems (Proclaim is used) experience would be advantageous but not essentialPackageCompetitive salary + target driven bonus25 days holiday plus bank holidays plus birthday6% contributory pensionHybrid working arrangementsFlexible working (after positive probation period)
