Product Manager Oxford (2 days a week onsite) R&D & AI A world-class, AI Research organisation - backed by heavyweight investment and an ambitious roadmap to tackle some of humanity's biggest problems - is building a new tech team in Oxford.They're quietly assembling an unbelievable team of Applied ML experts, researchers, and technologists, and now they need a Product Manager to help shape what that future looks like. They're looking to double in size this year so this is an unbelievable opportunity to shape the team early doors.We're talking deep-tech meets real-world application in areas like:Health & Medical ResearchClean Energy & Climate TechSustainable AgTech & Food SecurityAI for Government & Public InfrastructureIf you've got a research background (or a deep respect for it), and you're curious about how cutting-edge AI can accelerate impact across these domains, you'll be right at home here.What you'll do:Own and define product strategy for AI/ML tools supporting multi-disciplinary science and tech programmesWork directly with top-tier technical teams (Data Science, ML Ops) and programme leads to build tools that matterTranslate wickedly complex domain problems into clear technical requirements and product roadmapsChampion the voice of the user - whether that's a scientist, policymaker, or clinician—and ensure product decisions align with impactCommunicate like a pro-up, down, and sideways. You'll brief stakeholders from engineers to execs What we're looking for:Experience building AI/ML or software products, ideally in one or more of: HealthTech, ClimateTech, AgTech, FinTech, Energy, GeoTechStrong grasp of research/scientific concepts, even if you're not a published academicProven track record wrangling cross-functional teams and high-calibre stakeholdersSelf-starter who thrives in ambiguity and can make things happen without a 500-page PRDGreat communication, strong critical thinking, and the kind of attention to detail that makes scientists and engineers respect youBonus points if you:Have worked in or with a research lab, think tank, or public sector innovation programmeCan explain diffusion models to a non-technical audience without making them cryGenuinely want to work on big, world-shaping problemsThis role is hybrid (2 3 days a week in Oxford). You'd be joining at the ground floor of something very big, with world-class infrastructure coming online over the next few years.Salaries are base + bonus discussed on a case by case basis.
