As a Day Shift Team Leader, you will play a key role in overseeing daily engineering operations on-site, working closely with the Site Engineer Manager to deliver a best-in-class service. Job Description This is a hands-on role that covers reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM), subcontractor coordination, and general building upkeep across mechanical, electrical, and fabric disciplines. You'll be part of a small, multidisciplinary team, contributing to a high-performing environment that ensures the site operates smoothly and efficiently. In addition to technical responsibilities, you'll lead shift administration, manage handovers, and support training and development for team members. Your oversight will ensure accurate documentation, seamless communication, and operational continuity. You'll also join the on-call rota, making this a varied and dynamic role for an experienced and proactive leader.Key Responsibilities Oversee General Maintenance Operatives in furniture moves and mall layout changes Conduct thorough night audits of all front and back-of-house areas Ensure all reactive and planned maintenance is completed on time to a high standard Mentor and support the engineering team to drive service excellence Lead delivery of top-tier engineering and fabric maintenance services Respond to and resolve maintenance issues raised by retailers Become proficient in using Building Management and maintenance systems Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications NVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and Inspection & Testing qualified JIB Accredited with IPAF/PASMA certification Experience in building maintenance within a service industry Skilled in using CAFM systems, ideally Concept Strong organisational and IT skills Able to prioritise workload, work under pressure, and communicate effectively The Company ISS is a world-leading workplace and facility management company, connecting people and places to make the world work better.
