Facility Supervisor (Caretaker)Location: Newcastle upon TyneSalary: A GBP 28,163 - GBP 30,060 per annum, pay award pendingHours: 37 hours per weekFacility Services and Civic Management work across the city and Gateshead, providing building cleaning, caretaking, school meals, and welfare catering services.They have a large team of cleaners, cleaner supervisors, facility supervisors (caretakers), catering assistants, assistant chefs, and chefs working various hours and shifts in schools and public buildings.Their service is committed to delivering high standards of service to their customers and investing in staff development.The Role They are currently looking for reliable and friendly individuals with a positive attitude to join their team as a Facility Supervisor (Caretaker).They Are Looking For Someone WhoHas good customer service skills.Possesses good interpersonal skills and can resolve on-site issues.Has knowledge of cleaning standards and can undertake cleaning tasks.Is capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting, and carrying of equipment, materials, furniture, and climbing ladders.Has excellent organizational skills and can work with limited supervision.Communicates effectively in spoken English with the public.Has management or supervision experience of staff.Knows health and safety procedures and applies them in the workplace.Is self-motivated and able to meet fixed deadlines.To succeed, you must be able to undertake split shift requirements, manage building security, set alarms, handle health and safety issues, and supervise cleaning staff.You will manage your own time, handle varying workloads, and clean a designated area for approximately fifteen hours weekly. Flexibility around key school events and lettings is required.To work effectively in a busy school environment, you should be positive, hardworking, and able to build good relationships with staff, children, and parents.
