Are you empathetic, reliable, and committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others? We’re looking for a Support Worker to join our supportive and hardworking community team in Dorchester. Please note:Autism Unlimited does not provide visa sponsorship. The roleWe’re seeking a Support Worker to support five men aged between late thirties and early sixties who live independently in their own flats within a supported living setting. The individuals you’ll support enjoy activities such as: Day trips to places like the Sea Life Centre or Monkey World Walks to local charity and book shops Cooking and baking in their kitchens Weekly group meals out – a highlight for many! Three of the individuals use visual aids like PECS and body language to communicate, while the other two are verbal, highly independent, and require minimal support. Your responsibilities will include supporting with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, and medication routines. A relaxed, empathetic, and encouraging team helps us achieve this goal. Hours of workShifts range between 7am and 10pm on a two-week rolling rota, including alternate weekends and sleep-ins (sleep-ins are paid additionally).
