We have a rare and exciting opportunity to recruit aSpeech and Language Therapy Assistantto work within a secure forensic setting under the guidance of qualified speech and language therapists. The forensic service supports individuals with mental health conditions, mild learning disabilities, and autism in medium and low secure inpatient settings. In this role, you will support speech and language therapists working with adults with various needs, including mental health disorders, learning disabilities, and autism. The successful candidate will work directly with service users, assisting in assessments, treatments, running patient groups, and preparing therapy materials. An important aspect of the role involves making information accessible for all patients, requiring good computer skills. The role also includes administrative tasks and joint training, working as part of a multidisciplinary team. We will provide support and regular supervision to facilitate your development within the role.
