The department offers a wide range of specialist investigations including Adult and Paediatric Routine and Sleep EEGs, Video Telemetry, Multi-modality Evoked Potentials, Nerve Conduction Studies and Polysomnography. Minimum Qualifications Requirements: BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology) or equivalent i.e. BTEC HNC/D in Medical Physics/Physiological Measurement + professional body competency exams or completion of Scientist Training Programme (Neurophysiology) Knowledge of specialist procedures acquired through specialist courses or training/experience Registration with: - The Registration Council of Clinical Physiologists (RCCP) or - The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or - The Science Council as a Chartered Scientist (CSci) Previous Experience Required: Appropriate post graduate experience Main duties of the jobJOB PURPOSE • Provides a complex, specialist Clinical Neurophysiology service to patients of all ages from a range of specialties suffering from a wide variety of medical disorders including those which may be neurological and/or psychiatric in nature • Undertakes interpretation of results and provision of reports • Work collaboratively on a day-to-day basis with others to contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the service. • Supervision of junior staff. • Participate in training and education of junior and/or other staff groups • Participate in quality assurance, audit and/or research and development programmes.
