The Role Goodrays is looking for a motivated, organised, and energetic Business Development Executive to support the growth and visibility of our brand in London. This individual will be instrumental in managing and developing relationships within the grocery, convenience, and out-of-home (OOH) channels to expand our brand’s reach and presence. This role is ideal for a candidate who enjoys working on the ground with customers, is enthusiastic about wellness products and thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment. Reporting the OOH National Account Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a brand at the forefront of the CBD industry. Key Responsibilities New Business Development: Identify potential customers in the OOH and convenience channels predominantly within London, initiating outreach, building partnerships and generating revenue.. Proactively pursue leads and convert into new distribution points for Goodrays, drinks, oils and gummies. Maintain an active sales pipeline, reporting on target achievement and taking actions to ensure consistent growth. Consistently meet or exceed sales targets by expanding distribution points, driving reorders, and enhancing store-level execution. Merchandising and Brand Promotion: Implement merchandising strategies to maximise Goodrays’ visibility in stores and ensure compliance with brand guidelines. Encourage buy-in for promotions, seasonal displays, and in-store sampling, enhancing Goodrays’ on-shelf presence. Where possible, gain secondary space and incremental facings for the Goodrays range. Product Knowledge and Brand Representation: Develop a deep understanding of Goodrays’ product line, including CBD benefits, to inform and educate retail staff and customers. Always represent Goodrays professionally and knowledgeably, promoting the brand’s mission and values. Reporting and Administration: Report weekly on sales activity, including number of stores visited, individual and brand sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends. Account Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with independent retailers, convenience stores, and café partners, ensuring Goodrays’ products are represented effectively. Regularly visit national retailer accounts to build relationships, monitor product display, assess stock levels, and discuss promotional opportunities. Key Attributes Strong focus on meeting sales targets with a proactive, results-driven mindset. Comfortable navigating a fast-paced, ever-evolving industry, with openness to new challenges. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to engage store managers and staff, fostering long-term partnerships. Highly organised, able to manage time efficiently, and work autonomously on the road. Understanding of grocery, convenience, or café sectors; experience in merchandising and product placement would be ideal. Knowledge of FMCG, CBD, or wellness products, with experience in sales or customer engagement, advantageous.
