The Senior Medical Editor plays a key role in our Global Med Comms team by ensuring the clarity, accuracy, and impact of our medical communications. This involves reviewing, editing, and verifying a wide range of medical content to meet high standards and resonate effectively across various media platforms. Responsibilities include: Edit and proofread medical content, ensuring clarity, flow, and adherence to client style Style and retemplate slide decks and documents Coordinate with Designers and Creative teams for content formatting Manage publication submissions to congresses and journals Advise on copyright requirements and facilitate quotes and purchases Develop understanding of medical terminology and principles to improve content quality Perform non-complex data checks as needed Collaborate with Medical, Client Services, Design, and Project Management teams to maintain quality and meet deadlines Stay updated on industry best practices for editing and promote their application Develop and maintain client style guides Work across multiple brands and products, respecting client preferences Evaluate and improve editorial processes in collaboration with team leads This role is ideal for candidates who: Best Together, Impact-Obsessed, Excellence Expected, Evolve Always, Accountability with an “I” Requirements: Exceptional proofreading and editing skills Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., AMA, Vancouver, APA) Excellent communication skills Understanding of medical terminology and principles, with experience in fact-checking and source verification Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel Interest in applying AI to enhance editing capabilities Effective time management and teamwork skills Continuous learning mindset about medical advancements and guidelines Experience as a medical editor in a medical communications agency is preferred Our work environment supports flexibility through our Real HART approach, with office attendance expected two days per week for those near office locations, and quarterly gatherings for remote workers.
