The copywriter will collaborate with various teams to produce interviews, videos, photos, and designs for digital channels. They must audit content for relevance and factual accuracy, analyse performance, and stay informed about airport activities. Awareness of current affairs, politics, and sustainability is essential to identify key moments in the news cycle for timely content. Crisis communication skills are also required.The role-holder may be trained to take part in the crisis communications roster as part of the internal communications team roster outside of normal office hours, answering colleague questions on any incidents occurring at the airport.Your role will involveProducing content including videos, infographics, photography, and blog copy for use across Heathrow’s communications channels. Helping to execute the Internal Communications strategy across Heathrow. Copywriting for channels, including quotes and statements written on behalf of senior members of the business. Working closely with the specific teams in your remit, taking clear ownership for and ensuring consistent delivery of the corporate narrative and business priorities through your content creation. Being flexible with working patterns where needed- Required to be part of the IRT (Incident Response Teams – crisis communications) and Comms Cuts rosterThese Skills Are EssentialSolid understanding of digital content design, including technical experience in filming and editing video and static imagery. Experience of working with key stakeholders and gaining their trust through advising and influencing on comms best practice and solutions in a fast-paced change environment. Confident and creative multi-channel communicator who likes embracing change and spotting creative angles and improvements and helping others to do so. Understanding and experience of creating comms and engagement metrics to ensure success of the plan and ability to drive change when these might not be working.
