Our client, a reputable and forward-thinking organisation, is currently seeking an experienced Employee Relations Business Partner to join their established HR team. This is a key role within the business, reporting directly to the HR Director, and offers an exciting opportunity to influence and shape the employee relations landscape within the organisation. The role offers hybrid working. The right candidate will need to travel between both their Glasgow and Edinburgh offices. The primary focus of the position is to promote fair and consistent treatment of employees, manage complex employee relations cases, and ensure compliance with employment legislation.This position requires excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, alongside a thorough understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement effective employee relations strategies to support a positive workplace cultureEnsure the organisation remains compliant with employment legislation, providing expert guidance to management on all ER mattersAdvise and support managers and staff on HR policies, procedures, and best practiceLead investigations into grievances and disciplinary matters, ensuring impartiality and confidentiality throughoutPartner with managers to manage performance issues and support appropriate resolution and action planningFacilitate discussions between staff and management to resolve conflicts and encourage open, constructive communicationCandidate RequirementsProven experience in an employee relations-focused role, ideally within a complex or fast-paced environmentStrong working knowledge of UK employment law and regulatory complianceDemonstrable experience managing ER casework, including investigations, grievances, and disciplinariesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of the organisationSound judgement and the ability to manage sensitive matters with integrity and discretionExceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
