One of the worlds largest automotive manufacturers, is currently recruiting for a Procurement Specialist to help them develop unique and innovative automotive products. The purpose of this role is to support pre-production builds, ensuring delivery meets build requirements, building supplier relationships is an integral part of the role, whilst ensuring all Non Released Parts are delivered on time. Based in Warwickshire, you will be supporting, a dedicated and enthusiastic Procurement team, on a contract basis.Responsibilities of the Procurement Specialist include:Negotiate delivery dates with suppliers to support multiple prototype production buildsSupport the engineering exporting material to suppliers, to supply assemblies in line with prototype build requirementsNegotiate production slots with internal Tool Rooms and 3D printing operationsVisit key suppliers to review delivery performance and opportunities to establish and improve supplier performance / relationshipsWork closely with stakeholders to ensure successful build eventsSupport relevant prototype build activitiesChair supplier meetings to review part supply statusQualifications and skills required for the Procurement Specialist position:Degree in a relevant subject matter or equivalent industry experienceStrong background ProcurementA background in Automotive is desirable PLEASE NOTE To meet with current legislation, right to work checks will be carried out to ensure candidates can work in the UK.
