This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in agriculture, horticulture, vegetable handling, or quality control who is looking to develop a career in crop research and trials. You will assist with brassica field trials, focusing on cabbage, and contribute to breeding programs across the UK and Northern Europe.Key Responsibilities:Support the establishment, maintenance, and evaluation of cabbage storage trials in the UK and Northern Europe (Poland, Germany, etc.)Collect trial data, prepare reports, and share findings with international teamsAssist in hybrid evaluations and research activities for other brassica cropsManage seed inventory and prepare shipments for trials and pathology testsCollaborate with growers, internal teams, and external partnersOccasional travel within Northern EuropeRequirements:Agricultural/horticultural qualification OR experience in vegetable handling, crop trials, or quality controlKnowledge of brassica crops, pests, and diseases is desirablePhysically fit and comfortable with outdoor fieldwork in all weather conditionsOrganised, reliable, and proactive team playerFluent in Polish and English (spoken and written)MS Office proficientCategory B driving licenseWhy Join?Small, supportive team environment (around 10 people)International collaboration and travel opportunitiesStrong focus on training and career developmentAll offers of employment are subject to a background check.Relevant right-to-work documentation is essential in this role.Why choose Venatu Recruitment Group?At Venatu Recruitment Group, your right to privacy is important to us.
