We're looking for a new team member to join our documentation team at Ansys Granta. Youll help us create clear, useful content for Granta MI, Granta Selector, and Granta EduPack our leading materials information management software. From help guides and tutorials to videos, developer references, and user interface text, youll support a range of users including engineers, educators, administrators, and developers. Please note this is a hybrid role and we would like candidates to come to our Cambridge offices 2-3 days per week. Youll be involved throughout the product development process, working closely with product managers, developers, and subject matter experts to make sure our users get the right guidance at the right time.What youll be doing:Writing and maintaining user assistance content such as online help, tutorials, videos, reference documents, and API guidesCreating microcopy for user interfaces, ensuring the language is clear, consistent, and helpfulKeeping our documentation up to date as products evolveTesting the software yourself to verify instructions and capture accurate screenshotsBuilding your understanding of the Granta product range and how our customers use itWorking with internal teams to improve the design and usability of the softwareLearning and using our in-house tools and documentation systemsManaging your workload with some supervision, but also with room to growWhat were looking for:A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related field, plus a couple of years experience in a similar role. If you have a relevant Masters degree, thats great too experience isnt essential in that caseExcellent English skills both written and spokenA keen eye for detail and an interest in making complex information accessible and easy to followA user-focused mindset with a commitment to clarity, accuracy, and consistencyThe ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, global team environmentYou must already have the right to work in the UK, as were unable to sponsor visas for this positionIts a bonus if you also have:Some familiarity with Ansys products or other technical softwareExperience using structured authoring tools like oXygen, and working with DITA, XML, Git, or CamtasiaAn understanding of agile development or user-centered designThe ability to choose the best format for a topic, whether its a video, help page, interactive tutorial, or something elseIf youre someone who enjoys learning new tools and technologies, collaborating with others, and creating great content that helps real users, wed love to hear from you.
