With projects spanning land acquisition, funding, design, construction and eventual disposal or operation, they bring an end-to-end approach to development. Known for their agile, supportive and fast-moving environment, theyre looking to add a Senior Quantity Surveyor to their high-performing commercial team.About the RoleYoull be joining a tight-knit commercial function, supporting a Director overseeing multiple projects. While theres an assistant in place to support, the Senior QS will be expected to drive their own projects forward, especially in pre-construction. This is a broad role offering excellent exposure to the full lifecycle of development, making it ideal for someone who wants to evolve towards a Development Manager role over time.Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead cost planning and commercial strategy from acquisition through to deliveryManage and report across multiple projects both hotels and PBSA schemesOwn and deliver pre-construction activities across a varied portfolioDevelop and amend procurement strategies as projects evolveCoordinate closely with internal development and delivery teamsSupport the wider business on ad hoc project needs as requiredProvide input and oversight to the Assistant QS on project deliveryReport directly to a senior figure and operate with autonomy and trustRequirementsProven experience in a similar developer-side or client-side QS rolePre-construction and cost planning experience is essentialExposure to PBSA, hotels or mixed-use schemes is highly beneficialPrevious background with developers or client side preferredStrong initiative, resilience and ability to manage own workloadCapable of supporting and mentoring junior staffOrganised, process-driven, and commercially astuteExperience across full development lifecycle is a major advantageBenefitsup to 85,000 basic salary (DOE)Discretionary bonus of up to 20%Generous annual leave allowancePrivate medical insurance (Vitality includes discounted gym membership)PensionHigh level of autonomy and a clear path into Development ManagementOffice based in the West End, City of WestminsterFlexible, trusting culture with occasional WFH as neededThis is a rare opportunity to step out of the traditional QS silo and into a broader, more strategic development role.
