Reporting to the Design Director your primary responsibility will be creating masterplans and architectural solutions for planning applications on schemes of various sizes. You will work in close conjunction with other team members and departments to see these applications through to permission and implementation on site.The role is based at our office in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, with travel to our sites as required.Some of your key responsibilities:Working on residential projects of various sizesDesign of scheme layouts, masterplans & architectureProduction of planning application packageMeeting and communicating with local authorities and external stakeholdersWorking in close conjunction with other team members and departmentsInstruction and management of external consultantsRegular site visits to ensure design implementationWhat you will bring to the role:RIBA Part III qualified or a degree in a related field of study, ideally with a minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in residential architectureProven ability on Autocad and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator)Strong graphic, concept, sketching and presentation skillsExperience of designing residential developmentsExperience of managing applications through the planning systemKnowledge and experience on Revit will be beneficial but not essential.What we can offer you:Competitive package + Car Allowance (With free parking & EV charging at our offices)26 days holiday (increasing with service) with an additional day for your BirthdayGenerous Pension Scheme (Up to 15% total contribution)Discretionary BonusFlexible Working, providing you with flexibility around your hours and locationA range of benefits to support physical & mental wellbeing (including discounted gym membership, EAP programme with mental health support, health cash plan, private healthcare through BUPA, and access to a discount platform)Life assurance, providing cover up to 8x your annual salaryUp to 3 paid volunteer days per year to support with one of our volunteering projects
