The highly successful Lease Consultancy Team provides a specialist lease advisory service to property owners and occupiers on all types of commercial property.This is a newly created role, and our client is looking to appoint someone who can partner with the wider Lease Consultancy department, to lead and drive the Oxford team forward. The successful candidate will ideally be working as an Associate or Director/Partner in another consultancy and be looking to take a step up in their next role.As well as more traditional sectors, the team also acts for some of the leading Scientific organisations, working closely with the local agency teams to provide professional advice on rent reviews, lease renewals and lease re-gears using local up-to-date market knowledge. When required, team members may also act as Expert Witnesses.This is a strategic hire in the growing Lease Consultancy offering, and candidates are invited who can demonstrate professionalism, entrepreneurial flare and business development skills.Duties & Responsibilities:Carry out rent reviews, lease renewals for retained and non-retained clientsAdvise on complex lease re-gearsAct as an expert witness to arbitrators, independent experts and courtProvide strategic advice to clientsIdentify and implement opportunities to add value and optimise performanceManage clients to the best of your abilityBuild relationships with internal colleagues within the company to develop new businessDrive business development in Oxford, securing new clients and new instructions where possibleKeep up to date on professional development, particularly within the Landlord & Tenant specialismProvide advice other teams in the Commercial Department and wider business as appropriateSupervise other staff, including graduates and more junior employeesThe Ideal candidate:MRICS qualifiedExperienced in rent review and lease renewal negotiationsPrevious experience working in a similar role with team seniorityExperienced in making references to third partyThorough knowledge of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954Thorough knowledge of the Arbitration Act 1996Excellent verbal and written communication skillsComputer literate with a good level of skill (at least Intermediate level) in Microsoft Excel & Word, and a willingness to learn new computer packagesConfidence to deal directly with ClientsAbility to work as part of a larger teamGood attention to details and work in an organised mannerRemuneration & BenefitsCompetitive Basic Salary 60,000 to 80,000 (or more) Benefits a benefits brochure is available upon request, the core details being:Car Allowance or Company Car - 6,000 to 7,000 (D.O.E.)Group Profit and Staff BonusPension - up to 8% matched pensionPrivate Medical - Medicash PlanLife AssuranceIncome ProtectionBirthday HolidayLifestyle discounts and perksand much, much moreIn addition, our client provides further personal and cultural benefits/policies including Professional Development, Innovative Culture, Family Friendly (enhanced family leave policies) and Work-Life Balance (agile working)This is an excellent opportunity to join our leading Lease Consultancy team, and for the right person, exceptional career development opportunities are offered.If you wish to apply for this position or obtain further details, then please contact Andrew Kingsley MRICS on 07879 413 765 or email andrew@kingsleyrecruitment.co.uk (REF: AK3017173)
