Class 1Driver Taskmaster are currently looking to recruit aClass 1Driverto join our client is based in Peterborough (PE7) to start immediately. Hours:Monday to Friday: 11:00am-20:00pm Pay rate : £15.28ph JOB DESCRIPTION: Carry out daily walk-around checks of the vehicle, raising defects where appropriate. Inspect load safety before leaving the depot and request for items to be reloaded if necessary to avoid unnecessary damage and so as to ensure safety. Drive the vehicle safely in accordance with the law and company policies at all times and be respectful of other road users. Check goods off with delivery sites and obtain signature and print. Understand tachographs and drivers hours regulations and comply with them at all times. Report any accidents as soon as possible in line with the company accident procedure. Attend essential training when required. Provide excellent customer service. Maintain the cleanliness of the cab. REQUIREMENTS: Working Monday to Friday your roles will include multi drop and full load deliveries. A HGV1 /C+E/ class 1 licence. A valid Driver Qualification card (Driver CPC card). No more than 3 penalty points. 12 months experience required. A digital tachograph (Essential). A good understanding of drivers hours and working time. A good knowledge of UK roads.
