Job Title: English Lecturer – GCSE & Functional Skills (Level 2) Location: Northampton Salary: £33,000 – £39,000 per annum Contract Type: Full-time Application Deadline: 23rd June 2025 (early applications strongly encouraged) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and skilled English Lecturer to join a forward-thinking College in Northampton. This full-time role focuses on delivering GCSE and Functional Skills Level 2 English. We're looking for someone who can create engaging and inclusive learning experiences and is committed to helping students reach their full potential. What You’ll Need: Minimum Grade C (or equivalent) in GCSE Maths and English Language A Level 5 teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) Proven experience teaching Functional Skills Level 2 Evidence of ongoing professional development (CPD) Strong communication, planning and delivery skills A genuine passion for teaching and student progress Own transport is essential  New starters will benefit from a structured induction and access to essential training in areas such as safeguarding, equality and diversity, and health and safety.
