This position includes workplace inspections to confirm compliance with safety, health, and environmental requirements. The HSE Manager helps design, implement, train employees on, and audit our compliance programs to prevent injury, disease, and/or adverse environmental impacts.What you will be doing:Plan, organize, coordinate, and monitor on-site HSES risk and control, continuously liaising with- and between management and staff to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and procedures.Lead, support, promote, improve, and enforce compliance, all H&S, corporate/plant policies, procedures, performance standards and Ecovyst HSE PrinciplesDevelop new and maintain existing HSE & ERT ProceduresParticipate in / Facilitate / Lead HSE Incident InvestigationsHandles all HSE based trainings Handle all daily Field Audits such as LCPs and My Check 5s.Participate in risk assessment audits (PHA, CTA, JSA, etc.) as applicable.Plan, organize, coordinate, and monitor on-site HSES risk and control, continuously liaising with- and between management and staff to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and procedures.Provide quarterly HSE reports on training program status.Required Qualifications:Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.8+ years experience preferred in chemical plant / refinery sector.4+ years experience preferred within multiple HSE areas a plus (environmental, health, occupational safety, process safety, etc.).Familiarity with a wide range of UK / European HSE regulations, effective techniques for complying with regulations, and negotiating/permitting strategies within the United Kingdom.Knowledge of all relevant UK / European HSE standards and regulations including PSM.Familiarity with UK / European industry standards & practices (Equivalent to US API, ASME, ISO, etc.).Well-trained & practiced in Incident Investigation Cause Mapping, RCFA and / or equivalent.Well-trained & practiced in Emergency Response (HAZMAT, Incident Command Structure, First Aid, Confined Space Rescue).Works well under pressure ability to meet tight deadlines with quality results.Effective communication/inter-personal skills able to inspire and encourage the use of best practices at plant sites, and able to communicate with plant staff, Global Business Unit management, and regulatory agencies.Excellent MS Office skills, SAP a plus.Must understand basic chemistry.
