This is a permanent role with the flexibility to work from home when required, providing an excellent work-life balance. The successful candidate will work on a range of renewable energy projects and have the opportunity for future progression to a Senior Civil Design Engineer.Key Responsibilities:Undertake substation civil and HV cable installation drawings, adhering to industry standards and company quality processesManage document control for produced drawings and log transmittal of drawingsProduce cost-effective and technically sound civil design drawings to construction-level detailUtilise Revit for architectural detailing, including concrete reinforcementProduce design briefs to instruct external design resourcesProvide technical support throughout the project lifecycleManage external design resources to ensure civil design output meets business requirementsAudit design work for compliance with relevant standards and financial managementJob Requirements:Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, including complex 2D and 3D drawings, families, libraries, and moreExperience with utility infrastructure projects is preferredCompetent in using ROBOT structural calculation software for rebar design validationStrong IT skills, including Microsoft Office softwareAbility to work unsupervised and meet set targetsGood interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oralA degree in a relevant engineering subject is preferred, but significant experience is equally importantUnderstanding of construction industry practices, contracts, and the design and construction processSound knowledge of the Construction Design and Management (CDM) RegulationsBenefits:Paying up to 55,000 per annumHybrid working 1 day per week from home25 days holiday plus Bank HolidaysFlexible working arrangementsCompany bonus scheme directly linked to overall company profitsOpportunity for future progression to Senior Civil Design EngineerIf you are an experienced Civil Design Engineer with a strong understanding of the power utilities sector, we would love to hear from you.
