Join our dedicated team at Baldock Manor Hospital, a leading psychiatric hospital, and help shape the future of recovery-focused care.About the Role:Youll be working with adults in an inpatient setting who are living with complex mental health needs. As part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team, youll assess, plan, and deliver personalised, evidence-based therapeutic programmes aimed at promoting recovery, building independence, and improving quality of life.In this role, youll also supervise junior OT staff and contribute to the development of innovative occupational therapy services across the hospital.Key Responsibilities:Carry out functional and occupational assessmentsDesign and implement tailored treatment plans using evidence-based approachesLead both group sessions and 1:1 therapeutic interventionsProvide supervision and mentorship to junior OT team membersCollaborate closely with nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, and support workersSupport discharge planning and coordinate with external servicesEngage in audits, CPD, and service improvement initiativesRequirements:Degree in Occupational TherapyHCPC registrationMinimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in a mental health/psychiatric setting is preferableExperience with both group and individual OT interventionsSupervisory experience desirableWhat Were Looking For:A recovery-focused, person-centred approachExcellent communication and teamworking skillsMotivation to support service development and innovationIf youre ready to make a meaningful impact in mental health care and develop your career in a supportive environment, wed love to hear from you.IND3About UsBaldock Manor is a 40-bed hospital in north Hertfordshire that provides specialist psychiatric services for adults. The hospital has two female PICU (Psychiatric Intensive Care) wards and two acute wards. Our PICU services provide care and support for women at crisis level with a severe mental disorder who require rapid assessment and stabilisation. Our acute wards care for older adults, usually 55 years or older, who need a short-term hospital stay, where we can stabilise their mental health.
