Key Responsibilities Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and mechanical repairs on public service vehicles (buses and coaches) Diagnose faults on mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems using modern diagnostic equipment Record maintenance and repair activities accurately using electronic tablets and fleet management systems Interpret and follow technical manuals and manufacturer guidelines Work independently and as part of a team to ensure fleet reliability Follow all workshop health and safety protocols Support the wider maintenance team and undertake additional tasks as required Candidate Requirements NVQ Level 2 or above in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent international qualification) Alternatively, 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience with PSV, PCV, HGV, or commercial vehicle maintenance Experience working in a public service or fleet maintenance environment preferred Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Proficiency with electronic systems and fleet software Reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently Salary & Benefits Earnings potential £57,000£68,000 per year depending on hours and shift pattern Flexible shift options to support work-life balance Premium weekend rates available Company pension scheme Free or subsidised travel Free on-site parking Excellent transport links Overtime available Application Process Initial telephone call to discuss the role Depot-based interview (3045 minutes) Offer issued if successful Interviews can be arranged within 1 to 2 working days.
