LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority based in South London for an experienced locum/temporary adult social care lawyer on a full-time basis. The contract will start with an initial 3-6 month period and has potential to become permanent for the right candidate.The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.The council is seeking a lawyer with previous experience in local government, who can handle Court of Protection cases under the Mental Capacity Act s21. You will be working in a small team and you will not be expected to do hearings unless you want to.This role will be hybrid with 1 day per week in the office. Please note this cannot be a fully remote role.To apply you will be: An England and Wales qualified solicitor, barrister or chartered legal executive with minimum 2 years PQE Able to demonstrate previous experience handling a caseload of adult social care matters in a local government environment Able to attend the office in South London on a hybrid basis Available on no more than a 4-week notice periodThe salary guidance from the client for this role is 50-57/hour umbrella dependent on experience.Please note our advertisements use PQE/salary levels purely as a guide.
