On behalf of our client, a leading multinational in the energy and infrastructure sector, we are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across Northwestern Europe. This high-impact role combines commercial strategy and execution, focusing on identifying, originating, and developing both organic and inorganic business opportunities that support the companys long-term objectives.All potential applicants are encouraged to scroll through and read the complete job description before applying.The successful candidate will operate across multiple markets, collaborating with commercial, strategic, and external stakeholders to convert strategic priorities into actionable business initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesOriginate and assess growth opportunities, both organic (e.g., partnerships, asset expansions) and inorganic (e.g., M&A, joint ventures), that align with the companys strategic goals.Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging opportunities and market shifts.Collaborate with the local commercial team to enhance the existing asset base and strengthen customer relationships.Work closely with Group Strategy and M&A teams to evaluate and progress potential transactions.Support due diligence, financial modelling, and execution activities where relevant.Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including industry partners, regulators, financial institutions, and public bodies.Monitor regional market dynamics and regulatory developments to inform strategic planning.Candidate ProfileUniversity degree in Engineering, Economics, Business or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is highly valued.Minimum of 7 years experience in strategic business development, commercial strategy, or a similar role within the energy, logistics, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.Demonstrated success in deal origination, complex negotiations, and stakeholder engagement.Familiarity with multiple European markets, ideally beyond the UK.Existing network within the oil, petrochemical or logistics sectors is considered a strong asset.Experience supporting transactions (M&A, partnerships, asset acquisitions) is a plus.Fluent in English (C2 level); Spanish is an advantage.Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.Willingness to travel regionally up to 40% of the time.What Were Looking ForWe are looking for a commercially driven professional with strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking, and the ability to originate and advance growth opportunities across complex, cross-border environments.
