This position offers the opportunity to be at the heart of corporate decision making, ensuring compliance and fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.You will benefit from the opportunity to shape the governance landscape of a dynamic insurance organisation. This is a crucial role in the business where you will steer the company through the evolving regulatory environment, ensuring that it not only meets its obligations, but also thrives within them.This is a hybrid role, working 2/3 times per month in the office.As Company Secretary, your responsibilities will include:Governance Leadership: Advising the Board and its Committees, ensuring adherence to statutory obligations and promoting best practices in corporate governance.Board Facilitation: Organising and managing Board meetings, including agenda setting, minute taking, and ensuring effective communication between the Board and management.Regulatory Compliance: Staying abreast of legal and regulatory changes, ensuring timely filings with Companies House and other regulatory bodies.Statutory Record Maintenance: Maintaining and updating statutory registers, ensuring accurate records of directors, shareholders, and other key stakeholders.Strategic Collaboration: Working closely with senior leadership to align governance strategies with the company's overall objectives.Were looking for a Company Secretary with:Qualifications: A qualified solicitor with post-qualification experience, preferably within the financial services or insurance sectors.Experience: Demonstrated experience in a Company Secretary role, with a deep understanding of corporate governance frameworks and legal compliance requirements.Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and advise at all organizational levels.Attributes: A proactive and strategic thinker, capable of navigating complex legal issues and contributing to the company's long-term success.If you're ready to take on a role that combines legal expertise with strategic influence, we'd love to hear from you.
