That's Grant Thornton.Job Description:NEW GROUND WONT BREAK ITSELF.Every day our teams help people in businesses and communities to do what is right and achieve their goals.As a member of our Private Equity tax team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of private equity backed businesses supporting them from investment to exit.Were happy to talk flexible working and consider reduced hours and job shares, well support you to balance your work and life.A look into the roleAs an Associate Director within our Private Equity tax team, you will:Be advising a broad range of clients on a range of tax issues, covering a broad range of compliance and advisory projectsResponsible for supporting Directors and Partners by managing and developing a team of high calibre, knowledgeable tax specialists that service the portfolio company throughout the lifecycle of the private equity investmentBe actively involved in client meetings, concisely and confidently answering client queriesEngender trust and respect from clients by producing high quality tax advice accurately, delivering on expectations and deadlinesTake responsibility for developing more junior team members, understanding their career aspiration and support in this deliveryProvide intelligent and creative solutions to client tax issues both reactively and proactively, taking an active approach to exit readiness and cross-selling wider solutions for other teams around the GT networkLead on pitch/proposals. Youll actively grow the business by being present in the market and demonstrating our capabilities to clients and targetsKnowing youre right for usWeve set ambitious growth targets for the firm, and we need the right people to help us achieve these. Were looking for people who will bring ambition and drive to their role. In changing markets, we need to be able to work at pace and be adaptable to change and to be curious, asking questions of ourselves, each other and our clients to ensure we are delivering the services and quality we expect.Joining us as an Associate Director, the minimum criteria youll need is a professional qualification (CTA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with post qualification experience, and to be confident managing a portfolio of private equity backed businesses.It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but dont worry if you dont tick every box, well help you develop along the way:Youll have experience of working with PE backed businesses, ideally (but not essential) some transactions experience (DD and/or tax structuring)Youll have reviewed work and supervised people in a tax environmentYoull have gained experience working within a professional services environmentYoull have experience of managing a large portfolio of private equity backed and/or transactional tax clientsYoull have demonstrable Business Development experienceAn eagerness to develop deep knowledge of the firms services and capabilitiesKnowing were right for youThe culture at Grant Thornton is what sets us apart, were known for our inclusive culture and creating environments where all our people can flourish.
