WERE HIRING: BAKERY OPERATIONS MANAGER Leeds | Full-time | Competitive Salary (65,000 per annum) Benefits GET BAKED is growing, and were looking for a highly experienced Bakery Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day running of our production site in Leeds.Please double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below.This is a critical role for the business, responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient, and consistent operations across our bakery as we continue to expand.Were known for our uncompromising approach to quality, and we need someone who understands how to scale production without sacrificing what makes our products exceptional.ABOUT THE ROLE As our Bakery Operations Manager, youll oversee our entire bakery function managing production output, leading a growing team, and ensuring our standards are met every single day.Youll play a key role in improving systems, increasing efficiency, and working with senior management to support long-term business goals.This is not a hands-off role were looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can lead from the front, and understands what it takes to run a high-performing food production facility.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Operational Management: Manage and coordinate daily bakery operations, ensuring all products are made to spec, on time, and in full.Team Leadership: Lead a team of bakers and team leaders, creating clear communication, structure, and accountability across shifts.Quali ty Assurance: Uphol d rigorous quality control processes across all products.Work closely with our NPD Manager and bakers to maintain consistency during growthProce ss & System Improvement: Ident ify and implement improvements across production, staffing, stock management, and scheduling.Plann ing & Scheduling: Overs ee production planning and forecasting in line with weekly order volumes, seasonal changes, and new product launches.Compl iance & Safety: Maint ain full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.Keep the bakery audit-ready at all times.Cross -functional Collaboration: Work with logistics, warehouse, store managers, and senior leadership to ensure smooth coordination across all departments.KPI R eporting: Track key operational metrics including output, yield, wastage, labour efficiency, and downtime providing regular reporting to the senior team.WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR Minimum 35 years' experience in a senior operations role within bakery, patisserie, or food manufacturing Proven track record of leading and developing production teams in a high-output environment where you have experience and approving efficiencies Strong understanding of bakery production methods, food safety standards, and operational compliance Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong leadership style firm but fair, clear communicator, and capable of managing change Comfortable using production planning tools, spreadsheets, and reporting systems Practical, hands-on attitude willing to be on the floor as much as needed Resilient, calm under pressure, and driven to consistently improve team performance and product output WHY JOIN GET BAKED?
