The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering will provide comprehensive turn-key services for Londons state-of-the-art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common. We have been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver MEPHFC (Mechanical, Electrical Public Health, Fire and Communications) systems works.Is this your next job Read the full description below to find out, and do not hesitate to make an application.As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will be based 1 day on site in Old Oak Common (West London) and 2 days in our Waterloo office is required.As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will review and produce electrical designs. We are looking for someone whos dedicated, diligent, and driven, and will take this challenge head on, being an important part of a dynamic team with big ambitions.Key Responsibilities:Undertaking the DPE rolePrepare and monitor technical submittals for approval by the clientResponsibility for producing electrical designs to project requirementsDevelop design from feasibility up to As BuiltProduction of design proposals (e.g. sketches) for agreement with the client, stakeholders, subcontractors, suppliers etc.Writing project communications such as Requests For Information (RFIs) & meeting minutesMaintaining trackers, registers and schedulesCarrying out design reviews and working to design assurance processesSupport and help develop less experienced members of the teamNurture a get it right first time culture within the teamPerson Specification, Experience & Knowledge Essential: Electrical Engineering qualification and a extensive professional experienceExperience in rail station electrical services design and coordinationExperience of working in an engineering production environmentExperience of multi-disciplinary design and coordination, and the delivery of projects to a high quality, throughout all design stagesExperience of working with 3D models in a BIM environmentExperience of producing technical notes, reports, specifications, drawings, schedules and calculationsAbility to find solutions to engineering problemsCapable of managing design interfaces and integration processesGood knowledge of British Standards and Regulations, and Rail Standards, such as Network Rail, HS2 and TfLUnderstanding of project scopes, requirements, works information, and commercial awarenessAbility to deliver work to a programme and budgetStrong communication and collaboration abilitiesCapable of working as part of a team and on own initiativeComfortable leading meetings and presenting to clients, stakeholders, colleagues, subcontractors, suppliers etc.Excellent understanding of electrical systems from a technical, design, installation, buildability, and maintainability perspectiveProficient in engineering software tools including Trimble/Amtech Pro Design, Dialux or ReluxAwareness of procurement activities and lead timesBeing committed to professional development, staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in rail design and engineering, integrating them into project designs as appropriateDesireable: A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Services Engineering or Building Services Engineering Experience in electrical project engineering or a similar role Strong understanding of electrical systems from a design or construction perspective Capable of working as part of a team and on own initiative Good knowledge of the current electrical, fire alarm and emergency lighting standards Knowledge of key engineering software packages such as Dialux or Relux, Amtech and Navisworks is desirable but not essentialYOU MUST HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UKWhat's in it for you:By joining Egis, as well as receiving a competitive salary, youll also have the opportunity to explore flexible working arrangements.27 days annual leave on top of bank holidaysAnnual Bonus, depending on levelPrivate medical insurance For you and your familyLife Assurance Bereavement Support ServiceCycle to work SchemeEye Care Vouchers with SpecsaversTravel LoansMobile Phone AllowanceHealthcare Individual or family based on employee levelWorkplace Nursery SchemeElectric Car SchemeTraining & DevelopmentWe are committed to our planetIn each project we design, engineer and operate we care deeply about the legacy were leaving behind.
