Offering hybrid working, this role will be joining a small team of highly skilled costs professionals and will be supporting with the billings for their largest department. This role is perfect for someone with prior Costs Draftsman experience who is looking for their next challenge.Responsibilities include:Preparing and submitting bills of costs to the SCCO.Noting relevant deadlines/key dates , acting in accordance with those deadlines and required processes.Liaising with colleagues internally to ensure all relevant information is captured in bills of costs.Reviewing bills following preliminary and final assessment.Dealing with responses, appeals and negotiations with third parties and the SCCO.Liaising with external costs draftsmen, counsel, the SCCO and other external bodies.Service of bills of costs upon third parties.Understanding the assessment process and advising team leaders and colleagues with regard to best practice and improvement of recovery levels.Ensuring all reporting processes recorded and adhered to correctly.Ensuring the case management system is used effectively in accordance with agreed procedures.What we need from you:High personal standards of workStrong IT skillsGood commercial awarenessPrevious legal experiencePrevious Billings/Costs Draftsman experienceThe Perks:25 days holidayPrivate Health following completion of a 3-month probationary periodSubsidised gym membershipLife insurance at 3 x salaryContributory pension schemeAttendance Bonus schemeAnnual bonus of a weeks salary on firm hitting targetAdditional 1.5 days holiday at Christmas (combination of Christmas shopping/closing office at Christmas Eve).We will provide IT equipment, and any furniture required to set up your home office.If you're interested, then hit that apply button or reach out to Jack Lloyd directly on Jack.Lloyd@Oculuslegalgroup.com!
