We are looking for a General Counsel to oversee the legal aspects of our business. You will be able to take a strategic view of our exposure to risk and provide necessary advice to mitigate it within our expanding and multifaceted business. You will give legal advice and support to management on all relevant issues.For more information on the Group, please visit our website: Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide accurate and timely legal counsel to executives on various topics (commercial agreements, dispute resolution, corporate finance, and commercial law).Oversee complex legal transactions from a project management perspective, ensuring appropriate input from all stakeholders.Lead risk management strategies within the company.Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Handle Company Secretarial duties.Draft and solidify agreements, contracts, and other legal documents as needed.Manage external counsel and consultants to ensure value for money.Clarify legal language or specifications to relevant company personnel.Stay informed about changes or developments in legislation.Skills & ExperienceLegal Qualification Qualified UK solicitor with a minimum of 10 years PQE (considering other PQE levels and qualified lawyers from other common law jurisdictions eligible for QLT).Excellent knowledge of corporate law, especially corporate finance, dispute resolution, and contracts.Methodical with attention to detail.Strong commercial outlook and pragmatic legal approach.Solid training from a reputable law firm and/or business environment.Proven experience as a legal counsel in a fast-paced business setting.High professional ethics and integrity.Sound judgment and analytical skills.Able to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously.Excellent communication skills.Approximately 8 years of experience in a small to medium national law firm before transitioning into business.Note for Recruitment Agencies: We prefer to hire directly and will contact our PSL agencies if this role is open for external recruitment.Important: If you are not a passport holder of the country for the vacancy, you might need a work permit.
