Job Description

We are currently working with one of our key clients, based in East Anglia, who is recruiting for a Compliance Manager on a permanent basis. The position is due to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis. The salary is 45,000 - 47,000 per annum for this position.For a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.The successful candidate must have a relevant Building Services degree and experience of leading compliance services. The candidate must have access to their own vehicle and hold a full UK Driving Licence.Duties will include (but are not limited to):Ensuring and reporting on compliance across a council housing stockLeading on areas including; Gas Safety, EICRs, Fire Safety, Water & Legionella, Lift & LOLER, Asbestos, RIDDOR and near miss reportingAchieving 100% access to homes to maintain compliance for gas servicing and electrical testing, coordinating approaches with Liaison Officers and Tenancy Services OfficersManaging a team of Surveyors and Technical Officers, ensuring quality and safety standards are metInvestigating and following through to conclusion service area complaintsEnsuring compliance inspections are conducted in a timely manner, ensuring all remedial actions are appropriately allocated and completed to a high standardOverseeing the recording of documentation and certification, to maintain a compliant and safe environmentLeading on budgets and undertaking/obtaining competitive tenders and quotations for compliance worksPreparing reports and providing technical advice across the businessExperience & Skills required:Experience required in the public sectorExperience of leading compliance servicesBuilding services related degree or equivalentDetailed knowledge of compliance and building safety regulationsRewards and Benefits:Access to training, coaching, mentoring, and an Employee Assistance ProgrammeFlexible and hybrid working options plus generous holiday and sick payFree gym/swimming access, mental health support, and cycle-to-work schemeCompetitive pension schemePublic transport discounts and subsidised parkingWorking hours:37 hours per weekMonday FridayPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
